I did blood type in 9th grade, and some middle schools are grades 6-9, so it's not entirely unreasonable, but still... I miss it, but of course as a teacher I was never stupid enough to share lancelets. Years ago when I did this in Biology I had them disinfect the finger and we carefully disposed of all wipes.
