Specifically I will be using the tablet to give a presentation in PowerPoint, which I'll be annotating with the stylus, while running Camtasia (screencasting software, which records what's presented on the screen along with an audio track). I will then need to render the Camtasia recording and post it online. Camtasia's a memory-hog, hence the first three items on my list.
I have a $3,000 budget limit, and the money's not mine, so I'm looking for the best I can get.
Got any advice for me, or links to reviews?

I'm posting right now from an HP Compaq 2710p tablet and love it. I have the extended battery and have a battery life of over 12 hours. I'm running Vista personally, but XP SP2 is also installed.
I'd be happier with the 2730p which is set to be released shortly and improves upon the 2710p.
Pretty sure you can pick one up with all the trimmings and warranty for under $3000.
It is durable as well, I dropped mine out of my truck onto the cement onto the side and had some dents and dings but everything still works.
