I just may have to buy a few theremin kits online for my Physics II class this semester. It's a very early electronic instrument based around using the human body as a part of an RLC circuit.
definitely a novelty instrument. I used to have an electronic kit where one of the projects was a Theremin. The manual, written in English by a million Japanese typing for a million years, described it as: "An electronic tune maker that responds in sound to your bodily motilities".
That is awesome! :) I'm getting my school to interlibrary loan me an article from the American Physics Teachers Society / American Journal of Physics on how it works.
